Wi, Young-min: He worked through Gong Lip Hyup Hoe and Korean National Association.
His involvement with Korean independence began with his activities in San Francisco in 1903 and Gong Lip Hyup Hoe in Los Angeles in 1906. In 1923, he was in charge of collecting independence funds until he became community president in 1928 and he supported for the funds for Korean Liberation Army in 1944. He donated $170 from 1918 through 1944. In 2011, the South Korean government posthumously recognized him with the National Foundation Commendation for his activities for Korean independence.
