Rev. Hahn, Seung-gon: He was arrested for independence movement through Dong Woo Hoe upon her return to Korea.
He was exiled into America as a Presbyterian pastor. He served as a pastor in Chicago and Los Angeles Methodist churches and a Dinuba Presbyterian church. He was actively involved with Hung Sa Dahn in 1919. He participated in a Hung Sah Dahn conference in Los Angeles with Dosan Ahn Chang Ho. He returned to Korea in June of1936 for independence movement. He was arrested in 1937 and sentenced to two years with three years’ probation. In 1993, the South Korean government posthumously
recognized him with the Order of Merit of National Foundation / Patriotic People Award for his contribution toward Korean independence movement.
