Park, Chang-woon: He was enthusiastic in Korean National Association with his successful business in Matanzas.
He was active in establishing Dae Dong Bo Gook Hoe in 1907 and acting as a diplomatic persona in Mexico for Korean National Association in 1916 and from 1921 through 1945. In 1921, he established a Korean National Association branch in Cuba. He ran multiple businesses with stores including optical and jewelry stores. He was wealthy in Matanzas. After Castro’s Communist revolution in 1962, he at age 75 and his wife Hyun, Mee-sook came to Los Angeles. In 2011, the South Korean government posthumously recognized him with the Order of Merit of National Foundation / Patriotic People Award for his contribution toward the Korean independence movement.
