In 2011, the South Korean government posthumously recognized him with the Order of Merit of National Foundation / National Foundation Commendation for his contribution toward the Korean independence movement. He assisted in Korean education in Merida and became vice president of the Korean National Association from 1927 through 1938 including financial support.
