Kang, Young-sang (Fourth Son) : He donated funds for Korean independene through Korean National Association.
He was born in 1892 and arrived in Hawaii on May 29, 1905. He moved to San Francisco to join his brothers who lived there and moved to Southern California. He moved to Ohio and he actively joined the Korean National Association and later joined his brothers in family restaurant business in Chicago. He was a top-notch chef and never married. He regularly donated a portion of his salary for the next 20 years towards Korean independence through the Korean National Association. In 2013, the South Korean government posthumously recognized him with the Presidential Commendation for his sacrifice and efforts for the Korean independence movement including his activities for the Provisional Government of the Republic of Korea from 1919. Date of his demise is unknown.
