When the Provisional Government issued a public bond for financial security, she purchased more than $15 worth of bonds. She was active in Honolulu woman’s organizations by supplying needy funds for the families of the independence activists. She joined Syngman Rhee’s association with financial support. As president of the woman’s relief organization, she supported both Rhee and the Provisional Government in Chungking, China. In 2002, the South Korean government posthumously recognized her with the Presidential Commendation for her financial assistance for the Korean community and independence movement.
