Hahn, Jae-myung: He is a newly recognized Korean American independence patriot as of 2015
He started independence movement by subscribing Korean National Association in Hawaii in 1909 and he became vice president in 1911. He and Song, Hurn-joo were elected as representatives for the United Korean Committee in America and he was one of 21 members to restore the Korean National Association building in Los Angeles. In 2015, the South Korean government posthumously recognized him with the Order of Merit of National Foundation / Patriotism Award for his contribution toward the Korean independence movement by becoming a lifetime member of Korean National Association to fight against Japan.
