As a fisherman by calling, he came to Mexico in 1905. He worked for Korean independence in the Korean community. He also had a great dream to return to Korean
once the liberation was regained. In 2015, the South Korean government posthumously recognized him wit the Order of Merit of National Foundation / Presidential
Commendation for his contribution toward Korean independence movement.
