In 2014, the South Korean government posthu- mously recognized him with the National Foun- dational Award for his financial contribution to the Korean independence movement and his active service to Gong Lip Hyup Hoe in 1908 and his 1915 activities for Korean National Associa- tion including his funds in 1937 through 1942.
