Choy, Chin-ha: He worked for the Korean national independence movement for his entire life at Korean National Association.
He immigrated to America in 1916 to study. In 19i7, he was appointed as a secretary general of the Korean National Association of North America. When the Korean Provisional Government was established in Shanghai in China, he collected and sent the funds there supporting military and diplomatic activities. In 1921, he was elected as the president of Korean National Association of North America including in 1923, 1924 and 1935 as well. He has been active in supporting the Korean community as well as the Korean National Association for 27 years. In 1995, the South Korean government posthumously recognized him with the Order of Merit of National Foundation / Independence Award for his activities and contribution to the Korean independence movement. He passed away in 1967.
