Choi, Sun-joo: He donated independence funds by participating in Korean National Association in Hawaii.
In 1995, the South Korean government posthumously recognized him with the Order of Merit of National Foundation / Patriotic People Award for his activities and financial contribution to the Korean independence movement. Beginning in 1909 in Hawaii, he was active in Korean National Association through 1939 by activities of numerous organizations including chief editor of the Pacific Journals in 1939. He passed away in 1971.
