Choi, Chang-duk: He served as the leader of Korean community in Hawaii.
In 2014, the South Korean government posthumously recognized Order of Merit of National Foundation / National Foundation Commendation for his activities that contributed to the Korean independence movement by serving the president of Korean community in Hawaii. He put huge efforts to consolidate the disparate organizations in 1938 like Dong Ji Hoe and Korean National Association. He supported with independence funds on numerous occasions. The date of his death is unknown.
